11 kV Polymer Post Insulator – High Performance Insulation for Medium Voltage
The 11kV Polymer Post Insulator provides a high-performance insulated component, serving to support and insulate energized conductors and components in medium voltage power distribution systems intended for 11,000–volt applications. This polymer post insulator is manufactured of silicone rubber or EPDM over a fiberglass reinforced rod and is classified for high electrical performance, mechanical strength and long-term performance reliability whilst subjected to a diverse range of environmental conditions (client and service requirements).
Product Overview
The 11 kV polymer post insulator is a high–performance insulated structure used in the power system to support and insulate energized conductors and components designed to service 11,000 volts. The polymer post insulator is designed with silicone rubber or EPDM over a fiberglass reinforced rod creating a tough, insulated structure with high electrical performance, mechanical performance, and long–term performance reliability. The polymer post insulator can maintain its long–term rated operational performance while being subjected to a variety of environmental conditions.

Technical Advantages
Pollution Performance: Suitable for frequent use in areas subject to high pollution with inherent hydrophobic surface properties.
Mechanical Endurance: Engineered to resist bending, torsion, and compression.
Low Maintenance: Unlike porcelain insulators, polymer constructions do not require cleaning as frequently or necessarily examined physically.
Thermal Stability: Allows for the ability to operate efficiently across a wide temperature range (-40 oC to +55 oC).
Vandal Resistant: Polymer materials limits the options available for damaging the surface of the insulator.
